AMAZING, 2010-03-14 wow and i thought they could never match up to the book but they've done amazingly! well doneThe Twilight Saga: New Moon (2 Disc Special Edition) [DVD] [2009]
Takes away the point of what a vampire is, 2010-03-10 Seriously, I HATE this series. I havent watched the film due to the first one being terrible. I'll admit I gave the books a read and watched Twilight, but really you dont see Dracula sparkle and be a loving creature blah blah blah. They're suppose to be scary! Well if you want something more vampire like with a much more interesting storyline check out the Legacy Of Kain series (even though its a game series the storyline is epic), Blade or Underworld series, which are REAL vampire films (& games) which own this damn film. I'll probably get flamed for this review by fanboy and fangirls but still, dont waste your time on a rubbish series which is changing what a vampire really is.
New Moon, 2010-03-14 I liked New Moon. I'm not saying it was the most pioneering piece of filming ever but it followed the story for the most part and I really, really like the story. I can imagine how people who have not read the books may be disappointed by the film but it wasn't meant to be action action action; it is essentially a love story, whatever people might say. Yes, Edward is missing for a huge chunk of the film, but the people who followed the series knew this was coming. I personally think that the entire movie was a lot better than I expected it to be, and no I am not basing this on the myriad views of Jacob sans top. Yes this was nice, but it doesn't sway my judgement any.
Still, everyone is entitled to their opinion and there are always going to be people who don't like it and that's fine. However, I resent the fact that people who like Twilight are grouped into the categories of 'teenager' or 'nolifer' as I believe someone put it, merely because they like the Twilight saga. It's not their dislike of the movie that gets them 'slammed', but their attitude to the people who do like it!
Plus, to the people who say 'real vampires don't sparkle' I would just like to say - real vampires don't exist. Stephanie Meyer has created her own idea of one and whether people like that or not is completely up to them, but the stock phrase they use to explain this dislike is, quite frankly, annoying.
So I would recommend this to anyone with an open mind or who already likes the saga - sure, that doesn't mean that you will necessarily like the film but it does mean that you will probably have valid reasons for disliking it.
Blu Ray Yay, 2010-03-12 Totally love this series, but it really comes to life in Blu Ray, crank up the surround sound, turn the lights off and enjoy!
love it hate it, 2010-03-17 having read and enjoyed all the books aswell as the first film i was slightly dissapointed with this film its great at points but bit pathetic with the greifing worth seeng though.
