Watchable film, 2010-03-14 This is an alright film to watch but it's more of a rent it once watch it and thats about it.
Beautifully Edited, 2010-03-11 I read this book a couple of years ago on release, although a strange concept the story has always stayed with me - the film edit is as moving and beautifully written as the book - Loved It!!
Film v. Book, 2010-03-11 As a stand alone film you might find it worth watching. If you've read the book you are more likely to find the film a disappointment. My partner, who had not read the book, gave up half way through and went to bed saying it was just the same thing all the time - some guy disappearing and then reappearing.
I didn't expect a word by word reproduction, but too much of the original story was missing, for me.
I bought the Blu Ray version thinking there would be lots of worthwhile extras. Even with my player connected to the Web I couldn't find much apart from the film itself so I wished I'd saved my money and got the cheaper DVD version. If you've got a half decent TV and player that gives you good sound and vision I reckon you would be better off doing that - if you end up buying it.
The Time Traveler's Wife, 2010-03-09 Read the book and loved it. Therefore did not expect much from film. Certainly changes were made but the essence of the book remained. Acting was beautiful and poignant. I had been told it was hard to follow, however I did not find this at all. I cried, daughter cried and son got something in his eye! Both are now fighting to borrow the book!
Good Film, 2010-03-11 After reading the book, I was really looking forward to the film, as I wondered how they would reproduce the complicated storyline in a film.
Generally they did very well, but I thought the story wasn't stuck to in a couple of parts which made it a little less 'as I would have liked it'.
That said, it was still an enjoyable film, and the rest of my family #who hadn't read the book# thought it was good.
