This is one of the best tv shows ever why they are not doing any more just baffles me but I suppose every good thing has to come to an end.
Thank god we can still watch this masterpiece on DVD it is always good for a laugh no matter how many times you watch it.

Fantastic series, a great example of British subtile humour. Wish we had stuff like this in Australia without having to order from o/s. Already watched most of it twice.

Great series very watchable very funny, 2010-03-07
Gavin and stacey is a great British series. It is funny and one of those sorts of prgrams you can watch over and over again. It is based on a Gavin from essex and Stacey from Barry Island, Wales. The two fall in love but are seperated by a toll bridge, and come from completely different worlds.

The comedy is light hearted and can be watched by anyone over the age of 12 I would say as some of the content would be a bit 'mature' for younger audiences in the way they may not understand it. The program is co-written and stars James Cordon who is a great actor (think the England team football sketch on comic relief if you have not seen his other work).

I would reccommend this to people who like comedy which is based on real life, it has lots of twists and a great character mix. The only disadvantage is it is not long enough with around 6 episodes per series.

The box set is great value because it is much cheaper than buying the seperate series and even includes the christmas special.

The best laugh your going to have, 2010-03-15
If your up for a laugh Gavin and Stacey is for you. A real down to earth comedy and so true to life, it will have you laughing your socks off
