The construction of this Samsung is top quality, great sized keyboard, high quality screen. Upgrading the RAM took 5 mins. XP works great with this. I installed Open Office straight away and VLC player.

The Samsung quality has shined here, the mouse mat is a good size and the 12.1" screen with the resolution of 1280x800 makes all the difference compared to alot of netbooks that have low resolution. The keyboard is good quality although takes a few days to get used to completely.

The webcam is good for a 1.3mp, adequate and has a SD slot which works fine. It's compact so you can carry it easily with one hand around with you, but large enough screen and keyboard so you can actually work with it. Alot of the upcoming Asus laptops are using the same CPU or similar. It's impressive for something so compact.

Last night was running skype, msn, web browser the battery lasted for hours, no problem. Not possible with a larger laptop. If it broke I would buy another one tomorrow.

The soft case is useful just for keeping dust off of it, but that's it.

This Mini-notebook is just amazing.. I've had Dell & Sony laptops before.. this performs just as well, but half the weight, the battery lasts approx 4 hours and although alittle tinny, the sound is better than my previous Sony. I can make calls via skype without requiring a headset and all my programs run perfectly. The Atom processor is fast enough and thank God, it had XP and not the dreaded Vista, so all my applications ran as fast as I required.

I checked out maost of the mini-netbooks before purchasing the N20 and came to the conclusion the 10" screens were just too small for comfortable reading and the weight saving was insignificant.

A minor grumble is that the mains lead, etc, was disproportionately bulky, considering the size of the N20.. it would be nice if they could have slimmed that down, plus it required a three pin connection, instead of the more versatile 2 pin, which meant I had to carry the additional lead.

The main grumble I have and it doesn't just apply to the NC20, is the glossy screen. When i visited PC World, there were only 3 computers with a matt screen, including 1 laptop and no netbooks. This is crazy... for years we used to put filters on glass VDU's to avoid reflection and now all screens have this stupid reflective glossy screen... what's the industry up to... so they find that glossy screens look better in the showroom and as a result, sell better! As a consumer, I like to be treated with more respect! I find that there are times when i cannot read my screen because of reflection and I'll never- ever buy another reflective screen!

That last rant doesn't 'reflect' on the quality of the NC20 (forgive the pun).. it's an excellent machine When I was recently on vacation, I was able to stay totally up-to-date with my work, albeit I missed my twin 22" screens. I thoroughly recommend it.

So far the only issues I've had with this laptop are minor - it's taking a while to get used to the keyboard - a longer right hand shift would be very useful. And the fingerprints... arrrgh the fingerprints! (The shiny outer case is covered with my greasy paw marks.)

Otherwise, it's light, but sufficiently large enough to make everyday use convenient. I prefer it over the lighter, but tiny, 10.1 inches.

Doesn't have the grunt for any heavy duty applications - but for music (itunes/spotify), films (via external dvd player), writing, emails, internet - it's perfect.

I previously had an NC-10 and thought that was great...but this netbook is even better. The larger screen is well worth the extra cash to avoid excessive scrolling. The machine is fast and screen resolution is excellent. It will even run Windows 7 ! all in all well worth my pennies and a worthy upgrade from the NC-10

I am very impressed with the Notebook. The only disappointment was that I had to load Office 2003 on to it. It wasn't included in the deal. Apart from that, it means all my expectations. Well done!
