Brilliant in every way!, 2010-01-17 I absolutely love this little machine! I bought it for my teenage son and it has surpassed my expectations in every way. It is super quick, has a good-sized keyboard, a brilliant battery life, is exceptionally portable and has a matt screen (which is really important if you are using it in a bright or outdoor location.) Having read plenty of reviews I decided to do a 2gb ram upgrade and put Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit upgrade on it (despite PC World telling me not to!). Both were very easy to do and it doesn't seem to have affected the NC10's performance in any way. Don't be put off this machine or Windows 7 by thinking you can't upgrade from XP. The upgrade version can be used on XP machines, but you do need to perform a "clean install" which sounds complicated, but basically just means following the instructions on screen when you insert the Windows 7 disc and I found it very easy to do. I much prefer the NC10 to my own, much more expensive laptop which has twice the spec, but can't outperform the NC10!
Known fault with this computer, 2010-02-24 Great little computer but unfortunately the NC10 has a fault which is widely reported on IT bulletin boards and experienced by me personally. The screen goes intermittent white-out. No known fix. Appears to be a hardware problem (poor monitor connection) as the screen returns to normal if you wiggle it.
best netbook out, 2010-01-22 this is the best netbook i have trialed!!! it has everything my home pc has except the disc drive. but it does have a card reader built in.
saying that i have it connected on my home network and any files on my home pc i can read via wireless onto this and copy without a disc!
this netbook does everything and the battery life is the best ever!
cannot fault it in the slightest. for the price its a bargain. what on earth could you possibly want more from a laptop/netbook??
Excellent product, 2010-01-23 Neatly designed and excellent value for money.Does the job very well. Nothing negative to say about it at all. Would recommend it.
