another happy owner, 2008-11-06 Just to add my vote that having received and used for a week, this is a brilliant vacuum. Worth all 5 of the stars. I know that some of the earlier dyson's had mixed reviews, but this is a celebration of design and functionality, with the 5 year guarantee to back it up. Worth the money.
Happy Bunny with my Spanking New Dyson 'Ball', 2008-11-15 Just received the new Dyson CD25 'Ball,' the Super Saver Delivery service is quick. I placed the order on Friday afternoon & by Saturday 10am (less than 24 hours), I had used the Dyson to great success.
Easy to follow instruction for the assembly of the main handle to the body of the unit. Plain English manual to fully learn how to use the 'Ball' to best effect.
It's incredible considering two days ago I had used my 'old' vac to clean the hallway, this little baby goes further than expected. Talk about suction power & ease of use. The 'Ball' design is ideal for those who need to navigate around their floors (all in the wrist action!).
One point worth mentioning, it seemes to be more stable when using the telescopic wand to reach up the stairs (my old vac would fall over, I've got the bruises to show for it).
So far I'm impressed & would reccommend the new Dyson 'Ball' to those who are in need of an all floor, easy to operate vacuum.
Absolutely superb , 2008-10-17 I got this after buying a Hoover DM 4493 D Vacuum Cleaner - and after throwing that piece of utter junk in the bin (see my review) I thought I would give the Hoover brand a big body swerve and try a Dyson.
The comparison between the 2 products is quite unbelievable. The Dyson is everything the Hoover isn't. Lightweight, maneuverable, powerful - so easy to use.
I used the Dyson in one room after it had just been "hoovered" and the amount of dust that got picked up was amazing.
My wife thought the ball might be a bit of gimmick, but she things it's a great vacuum as well.
The extendable pole is a superb bit of design too, no daft hose flapping about - it's well out the way until it's required.
In summary - highly recommended. My first Dyson, and I really can't see myself ever purchasing any other brand.
Top notch design and great cleaning., 2008-10-22 This really is as good as it looks (and boy does it look good). My family has an older Dyson and for comparisons sake I cleaned the whole house with that before cleaning again with the DC25. The DC25 found no shortage of extra dust and I was amazed what an improvement this model is over it's predecessors. The ball will be the next dual cyclone in that I fully expect all major makes to adopt this technology before long. All hail James Dyson, a true genius!
P.s. The design is so original/intriguing that you don't need a broom cupboard. My DC25 is left out on display!
Dyson virgin., 2008-11-08 After years of using cheap hoovers that have the suction of an asthmatic 80yr old I have just splashed out on the Dyson DC25 Allfloors. This machine is fantastic. I was so impressed I actually hoovered twice in the same day I got delivery.
The suction is so good it'll take the skin off your hands. It is very ergonomic with all the bits and bobs within easy reach. The extendable wand is great and easy to use. This machine is a must for carpets that 'hold in' grime and hair....like mine....! Amazon delivery A+ as I just went for free standard delivery but arrived next day.
