highly recommended, 2008-01-27
I got these as a x-mas present and I like them alot because they are a smoking deal compared to my old headphones and also sound much better. The included airline adapter let me enjoy my holiday flight like I never did before. Finally I was able to listed to the onboard entertainment with my own earphones. When I went to sleep I turned on my mp3 and the earphones did the job the block the outside flight noise. Perfect!
Excellent and effective for all uses, 2008-01-27
They are comfortable to wear especially when i use them in the gym and running, they stay in position without me having to keep rearranging them. I have tried many brands at varying prices and these i consider these the best. They are so comfortable and functional the rest of the family have now got them, so now we don't have to hear each others music.
Not as comfortable as expected, 2008-01-25
Although the noise reduction is great, no-one can speak to me whilst wearing them as I don't hear a thing, the comfort is not as good as I expected, I do have to keep releasing them after a while, but better than the earphones I got with the ipod.
Octone "Groove Buds" headphones review., 2008-03-25
I read the great reviews for this product and expected something special even though they were cheap and i'd never heard of the brand before. Instead, i think these are just cheap headphones trying their hardest at pretending to be expensive.
Plus points:
- The in-the-ear design is comfortable and blocks out outside noise well.
- The cable is quite long.
- Sound is loud.
- Comes with useful airline adaptor etc.
- Bass is quite good and punchy.
- They seem quite solid.
One big Minus point:
- Definition is poor. Percussion sounds like it is being played 'next-door', through a wall. Far more inferior sound quality than the headphones that came with my ipod.
I'd recomment the Sennheiser CX300 headphones instead which can be purchased on Amazon for a similar price (but beware of fakes... there are quite a few out there!). I've had several pairs in the past, but i thought i'd give these "Octone" headphones a go because of the great reviews.... but now i feel like i've wasted my money. Needless to say, I've just bought another pair of Sennheisers...
