The powerful, energy efficient Kenwood kMix in an almond finish provides effortless mixing with 5 multi-speeds, plus pulse settings, enabling total user control. With simple thumb control for convenient operation and a die-cast aluminium ergonomic body with soft-grip handle, the kMix is durable and tactile for user comfort. Stainless steel beaters and kneaders are non degradable for durability and strength, while the beater interlock system provides safety and security. Its Unique, compact, space efficient storage system allows for convenient attachment access. The Integral cord storage comes complete with useful grip-clip. The GHI award is gained through a series of consumer quality assessment tests devised by the institute, and provides a rigorous benchmark for consumers across a diverse range of household products. Kenwood trade marketing manager Penny Jones said: "We're really excited that it has passed the Good Housekeeping Institute's expert researchers' test, with a fantastic grade of 91 out of 100." The kMix blender has a retro design, with 1.6l glass goblet, metal body and easy-clean design. It also features a dial for selecting function rather than speed. The blender is one of four products in the kMix range. The others are stand mixer - which has also received GHI accreditation, hand mixer and hand blender. They are available in raspberry coconut and almond.

Comment: I am happy with this mixer. It is relatively quiet but has a powerful motor. I already used this on numerous occasions rather than use my large worktop standing Kitchenaid. The only reason I have given it 4 stars rather than 5 stars is that it is advertised has having storage for the lead which I thought was a good idea. The problem is that the gap left for the lead only takes about a quarter of it and you have to wind the rest around the machine. Not a big deal but a slight irritant when I expected to store the lead neatly.
