Most of the other reviewers have given the fine detail on these badboys - so I'll just sum it all up for you:
They're big, they're full of bass, they look the business and my god do they sound good. Dont mess about, buy these now. You wont be disappointed!
Creative Couldn't Care Less, 2008-12-05
Beware of Creative customer care.
I recently contacted them with a problem with my MP3 player.
Basically, although it worked fine and was fully loaded with my whole music and video collection, I couldn't add any further content to it.
Customer care took me through a diagnostic process which ended with a instructions to completely reformat the machine, stripping it of its operating system.
I e-mailed them to say I was nervous of doing this, but they insisted it was necessary and that if it didn't work I'd be invited to send the unit in for repair or replacement.
When I took the fateful step and lost everything they informed me that I was out of warranty and they wanted £60 to repair it (even though they had known my purchase date and had a copy of my Amazon receipt from the beginning).
As this unit can now be bought for about this amount I had no option but to bin it.
Result, no player, 4500 tracks and dozens of films lost forever.
If they had told me the cost of repair before pushing me to reformat I could have made and informed decision.
Do not trust their advice, in fact if I were you I'd buy elsewhere!
great for the cash, 2008-12-16
Just got these back from amazon yesterday... still running them in I guess, but tried with with accoustic stuff, banging dance & radio 4!... all sounds great.. i've got a top-notch hi-fi in the lounge, which is great & sounds better than these, but you'd hope so for the money... extremely delighted for what they cost.
Great sound, lacking a bit on bass, 2008-10-04
Having read the generally very positive reviews I took the plunge and bought these speakers to replace my cabridge soundworks 5.1 setup. The sound mid and top range is stunning, crystal clear. The speakers do lack on the base side and could do with a subwoofer jack so there is an option to boost the bass levels. Some reviews critisise the sound, bass etc. Put this into context I have a £2000 NAD HiFi that sounds better, but for £65 from amazon these speakers represent massive value for money. Not worth the £120 rrp though. Oh.. and these speakers sound a million times btter than 5.1 surround sound for music. Buy you will not be dissapointed (probably!!)
Great upgrade for LCD TV, 2008-10-04
I bought these speakers to replace the internal speakers on my Sony 32D3000 TV, and they do the job admirably... These speakers make both my TV viewing and XBox playing so much more involved... Awesome!
Whilst I can't deny that compared to a dedicated 2.1+ setup there is a lack of bass, on merit these are an awesome upgrade to stock speakers in even decent LCD TVs...
Well recommended by me!!
