Great Cheap KVM, 2008-01-28 Just set this up - V. easy. It even worked with my laptop as an extended desktop! (I know some KVMs don't like laptops!)
Very easy to switch between computers "scroll scroll" not managed to get the CTRL + ALT + 1 to work yet though.
Well worth the money!
Versatile little number, 2008-11-07 Bought this KVM to replace an old Belkin two port unit. This is much more flexible, it is currently handling three operating systems with ease, including a wireless keyboard and mouse. It comes with vga and usb leads and a set of leads for the audio and microphone inputs.
The fact that the leads come into the unit from all sides may work for or against your setup. It seems to fit my setup pretty well indeed, but I can see where it would make things very awkward/messy.
It works, thats the important thing, and it appears to be a nicely built unit too!
Excellent., 2008-07-04 I now have both my PC's and my XBox360 connected to one monitor and monitor speakers.
For the XBOX360 the switch over is manual, but for the PC no problems with hot-key switching.
All the cables I needed came with the unit.
I did have to download the lastest driver (2.XX)from Edimax website for the switch box (which showed VISTA driver only) but works fine on my XP OS. Now I get the full functionality as shown/described in the manual.
It works great and I am very pleased.
Only one down point, ergonomics... It would be more pleasing to the eye and practicle if the wires only came out on three sides or better one, (the back) rather than all sides as it is a bit of an octopus with legs to leave anywhere useful for manual switching. Also the unit is very light and the thick cables tend to lift the box so it does not sit nicely.
