Fantastic and innovative product, 2007-10-04 I own a board very similar to this one, which is called an Exboard, but it uses exactly the same technique to make it move. It's great fun once you get the hang of it- it really works the legs and improves your balance, and on top of that, it's also enjoyable. It's good to use the board somewhere with a large, flat area which is also fairly smooth (like a sports hall) so that you can get the technique right, and get going quicker.
The only drawbacks of the product are that it's quite pricey (but worth it!) and also...you can't brake, which is a bit of a problem if you're going downhill. Otherwise, brilliant product, and well worth having a go :D
The Wave, 2007-11-12 I have two boys, 11 & 9 and a girl aged 7 - all find this fantastic and are still playing with this 6 months on.
As it has a single wheel front and back, some help in starting off is necessary to get your balance. Once you get the hang of surfing (rather than skating) - i.e. pushing the back foot back and forth and leaning into corners, it becomes easier, and you can propell yourself forward without having to take a foot off to push yourself along. By moving the feet the opposite way allows you turn in a very short space (although a little unnerving for the people standing close by!)
I paid £90 each (not via Amazon) but the quality is very good - they are all scratched and well used but still work as well as when they were new.
I can highly recommend this - although a word of warning for the 40 year olds out there ... it's hard work trying to beat your kids around the park, and demoralizing when you keep losing!

Okay, Street surfing is a really good sport if you do it right
It takes a wile to get used to the way you are supposed to move it, but in my opinion, its easyer than a normal skateboard!
The board is split into two halfs that twist so you can weave in oreder to move, a strong spring returns them to their normal positions if you get off, or are going straight
However, there is a problem
As there is no way to brake or slow other than jump off, stopping is a difficulty, also, scince this is in affect, you should avoid and kind of realtively steep hill, other wise you will go way too fast
The way I started this sport, is in School, we were supposed to be doing Basket Ball for PE (Or sports, deending on if you are English or American) but the hall we usually go into was being used for a Yr 11 GCSE Exam, so sir (Our Teacher) gave us the choise of something else. Street Surfing was one of them
About 12 or 15 of us did this, and we all had trouble first off, and then some of us, including me started to get the hang of it
A week later, I got my own one
Before buying, I would think about if you have a good place to use it, and search around, as you can sometimes get a good board for a much lower price
