Product Description
Glo-LanternTM authentic Thai Fire Sky Lanterns are manufactured
by us in our factory in the Far East, These traditional 'Khoom Fay'
or 'Khom Loy' lanterns were invented 1800 years ago by
Zhuge Liang (181- 234AD China), they are a great addition
or alternative to fireworks and create an amazing view when
launched in multiples, especially at night.
Ideal for wedding, birthday, bbq a party or any other gathering
Unlike home-made 'bin-liner' and tape versions our lanterns arrive
FULLY ASSEMBLED and ready to light and launch, our lanterns
are fuelled by a wax paper wick, this is odour free
and clean burning and removes the need for dangerous liquid
fuel that other lanterns use (we do not believe that selling a bag
of highly flammable fuel for the end user to soak a wick in is safe)

We set these off for birthdays, new year, fireworks night, and even just because its a nice night. Every one of our friends who we've introduced these to have been amazed. They are worth a go, you will be hooked, i guarentee it!
 Fully biodegradable?, 2009-01-04
I bought a box of these for New Years Eve; being reassured by the claim that they are fully biodegradable. Whilst I have no reason to doubt that the paper lanterns themselves are, I would question the wires that hold the wick in place, and the wick itself.
They are easy enough to use, though supervision would definately be recommended for children, and to send them up in a populated area could possibly prove foolish indeed, especially in windy conditions!
Having said that, if used sensibly, and the environmental concerns don't matter too much for you, as they did for me, then these are a very beautiful and impressive alternative to fireworks.

Saw these for the first time on Ch 5s Gadget Show and got them for Halloween, they are fantastic to watch and go very high up. Just about to order some more!!
Something Different, 2008-12-27
These are Five Star fantastic. We have horses and are unable to have the firework option for our Halloween party, but had seen these on the Gadget Show. Googled the item and bought a pack of 10. Everyone at the party thought they were brilliant, and a child had said he thought these were better than the usual fireworks. Everyone were in awe at how high they could go.
We had set them off one at a time, but it would make a fantastic display if more could be set off in one go.
We let one off every now and then when it is a still night, and we are certainly not bored of them. Friends and family are really impressed.
I would recommend you to give them a try, once you have done one, you will be hooked.

These lanterns were brought to our NYE party last night - they are fantastic. Safe enough for kids to get their hands on (to launch, not light) and they just looked so good, I'll be buying more shortly.
