30+lost GB, 2008-05-22
Ordered 500Gb iomega screenplay when i plugged it in it was approx 30GB short of the 500Gb ordered, when i asked why? i was told the iomega uses SOME memory so as to be able to access the internet.
I asked in another email 30GB seems a lot of memory to use to access the net???? that was a couple of weeks back still no reply from the company i bought it from (pixmania)has anyone else not got the full 500Gb ordered
Too Noisy, 2008-06-03
Just like another customer ... my model is bloody noisy as well. Shame because otherwise it would be fine.
Unfortunately it is so noisy that I cant live with it, so its gone back.

I bought this last summer, thinking how handy it would be to have a film jukebox. I've been ripping my collection and copying it to this wee drive ever since. Still not managed to fill it.
I don't find it noisy and it plays my avi files without any problem.
I love that I can go from "I wanna watch.." to actually watching it in seconds. I keep it in on standby most of the time so it's always available when there's nothing on regular telly.
Only negative I have found is the remote control. Feels a bit cheap and isn't as responsive as others I've used.

I recently purchased the Iomega - Screenplay 500 GB USB 2.0 External hard drive and to my surprise it has 720p output. The quality was great. Movies played instantly. It's definetly worth the buy.

Such a good media drive it almost plays all extensions and its been over 6 months now and it has never let me down with anything regarding playback , copying , sound etc ....
