The Vax Kone handheld vacuum cleaner is exceptional; it looks stylish, with an almost iPod-white design with a nice rounded finish. The subtle base light was attractive enough for my girlfriend to allow it to sit in the lounge as part of the decor (albeit tucked discretely away in the corner), which means it's always easy to grab for day-to-day use instead of hunting it down and pulling it out of a cupboard. The battery lasts for ages - in fact, I can't tell you how long it lasts because I have yet to run out of power in any one session.It does fill up quite quickly, which is due in a large part to the great suction power, but this does mean it needs emptying fairly frequently. This is not a huge chore as a simple "twist and a shake" empties the Kone, meaning you're ready to go again within seconds. Aside from the faultless performance, the key to the Kone handheld is its styling.  Yup, it sucks, 2008-01-20
We've had this cleaner for just over a week now and it works pretty well, although it could really do with having a bit more sucking power available and can't pick up wet spills so only 4 star I'm afraid.
The charger base looks as stylish as you can expect so you although you wouldn't want it on full display on the mantle piece but it is neat and tidy and can be left out in a hallway or on a kitchen side for easy access to the cleaner which makes it far more practical than many of these cleaners are.

Great wee gadget! It even has a built in light which is handy as a night light in the hallway, strong power and looks good too.
For this price you can't go wrong!

Very clever bit of kit.
Takes up very little room and is pleasing to the eye.
The only drawback is that the filter gets gets blocked therefore keep a old tooth dry brush handy!
This is the only reason for 3 stars oterwise the unit its self works very well.

Bought this mainly as it looked kinda cool and i thought it would look better in the kitchen than a standard handheld hoover. It does look great and makes a pretty good lamp, giving off a very soft light. It is also a great vaccum - MUCH more powerful than i had expected it to be and has no problems cleaning up anything you might want to suck up around the house.

Great hoover. Doesn't take up much room on the kitchen top, there is a light in the bottom. Handy for small messes. The filter would have been better if it could have been plastic rather than material. As good as a Black & Decker I had which the charger overheated and went.
