Great educational games console, 2007-12-31 This is a fantastic first games console - not only are the games great fun for the 3+ year old, they are educational too!
My little boy loves playing on his vsmile and I am constantly amazed by the skills that he's learning from playing on it - Counting, letters, matching shapes etc.
Its great to see him having so much fun, and learning at the same time.
My next purchase will hopefully be the dancemat to go with it!
Money well spent, 2008-03-03 My two children have had brilliant fun with this console. Ideal for 3 upwards. The Winnie the Pooh game is one of the best games available for this console and two years on my daughter is still playing it. The music is nice too - not the usual discordant jangling one expects with this sort of game. The Toy Story game is great too, as is Nemo, but I'd give Shrek and Spiderman a miss if I were you.
Three cheers for Pooh!, 2007-12-28 The bundled Winnie the Pooh game is the best there is. The character is lovingly portrayed and full of, well, character. Easy to play, loads of fun. Other games available pale by comparison. The game system is improved from the original with the addition of a pen/tablet and microphone. The original joystick with it's big button is better though, worth hanging on to if you have one. Hard to say if my young one is learning, that rather depends on the game, but he certainly enjoys it, as do I!
Great Games Console for Kids, 2008-01-27 I bought the Vtech because of the learning factor and that the games relate to characters my kids know.
My four your old son enjoys the Vtech. It's very simple for him to use. He can quite happily switch the vtech on and change the games independently. It's a great choice as I know the are alot of games to go with the Vtech and various other components that can be used with it.
