Having seen other cheap wireless desksets faulter, I wasn't expecting too much when I ordered this. To my suprise I was proved wrong; quick to set up, excellent senstivity and range, and good build quality make this a bargain. Why didn't I buy one sooner!?

I have also bought this to attach to an Advent netbook while it is at home and not travelling around with me. This desktop set is an excellent product which most other people here have already described well. The reason I wrote this review is to point out a slight flaw with the receiver design. It fits into any available USB port however you have to lightly press it down to ensure good contact to the pins. It is possible to insert it and get erratic response from the desktop devices. A slight press on the receiver and hey presto it all works flawlessly again.

I think this might be what was wrong with the reviewer that only gave it a one star rating. What he describes was what I also saw before I noticed the problem.

Once you know this, no problems with what is the best wireless desktop set you can buy for the money. I also have a wireless Trust router that has worked perfectly for me for a number of years. I find this brand very price competitive without any quality compromise.

Average rating of 3/5Average rating of 3/5Average rating of 3/5Average rating of 3/5Average rating of 3/5 a little dissapoined, 2008-12-20
bought this set on the basis of other good reviews...

i'm a little disappointed. it all works ok, but build quality isn't very good... my whole keyboard is bowed. i find the mouse a bit uncomfortable, and its way too easy to put the computer to sleep as the extra buttons are so close to those that you are regularly using. i'll be using a cad program, and trying to hit shift, and the calculator will launch 10 times. these buttons are also easy to push when you pick the keyboard up.

i suppose for the price its not bad, but don't expect a great quality product. next time i'd be inclined to splash out on a more pricey unit.

I can't believe all the 5* reviews here, I must have ended up with a Friday afternoon job.

OK, first of all,I installed the CD, don't know if that was just software or a driver as well, but it didn't do a damn thing. Then downloaded the driver from the Trust site and that too did bagger all - except cause my pc to intermittently cut out until it was uninstalled. And because I couldn't install the driver, I couldn't identify the correct mouse in my control panel to configure the buttons.

Then there's the keyboard. The keys are plasticy, the spacing (of the keys) isn't user friendly so you end up hitting the wrong keys more often than not. The sleep button (on the left side of the keyboard) is ill placed and easily pressed unintentionally. Also you have to keep assigning the functions to the function keys everytime you reboot.

All in all, while I purchased this set because the keyboard was small and tidy, it's just not as good as the traditional keyboard. The mouse is erratic and has a mind of it's own and I wasn't able to assign the keys/buttons of either.

Save your money on this one.

Average rating of 3/5Average rating of 3/5Average rating of 3/5Average rating of 3/5Average rating of 3/5 Good for the price but..., 2008-12-28
This product is a nice wireless keyboard for the price and has all you'd expect from a keyboard but, for me personally, I will continue to use my old keyboard on the PC and use this for my PS3, which wasn't the original plan.

There are a few problems with this keyboard which are;

- Lack of CAPS lock, Scroll lock and Num lock LED indicators. This can be annoying when you're learning the keyboard and accidently put on the CAPS lock and end uP TALKING LIKE THis.
- The locations of the side buttons on either end of the keyboard are troublesome. If you're someone who types furiously without looking at the keys, you will inevitably hit the 'Sleep' key instead of 'ESC' in your times using this keyboard, which in my opinion, is the BIGGEST flaw with this keyboard, the spacing of the side buttons. You'll also encounter problems when trying to using the SHIFT buttons.
- I also have problems using some keys on the keyboard (may be my unit, but I doubt it) which are the Backspace and both SHIFT buttons and various others. It seems that I must hammer these buttons to make them work first time. It could be that my wireless router works on 2.4GHz frequency and messing with the connection, but it is quite annoying.

All in all, the keyboard does what you want it to do... eventually. I'd probably go out on a limb here and say get a more expensive one to avoid the problems you could run into.
