Lots of problems in first 3 days, 2008-01-04
Comment: Every time my 3 1/2 year old son was asked what he wanted for christmas, he answered scaletrix. So I had to get one and this was the one I choose.
I choose this set because you get 2 F1 racing cars, the cars were fitted with scaletrix's new magnet in teh tail of the car to stop the cars spinning of in when they go to fast, and it was a figure of 8 track.
On christmas day after set up one of the controllers didnt work properly, where with the slightest pressure it sent one of the cars far to fast and always spinning of. Spiining so much that it broke of the spoiler of the car in question.
On day 2 part of the track just didnt seem to work, every time a car went there it seemed to have no power so it stopped.
I have had to chenage 2 of the racing car contacts by the end of the 3rd day. It hasn't been used since then.
Another problem with this set is that the cars cross in a figure of 8, and that means one car crashing into another. Both cars now have the spoilers and other bits of the car broken.
Very dissapointing for the price. I would suggest mabybe one of the rally car sets for young kids like my son whih are more robust, and a circular track to stop them at least crashing into each other.
