I am not surprised Gordon Ramsey put his name to Bamix blenders they are quite simply the best.As a former professional cook, this is the only blender I would have in my kitchen,it lives up to its excellent reputation in every way, it is pricey, but then you get what you pay for, its extremely robust, I have had mine about 4 or 5 years, and its still in absolutely pristine condition. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I had this for only around 18months before it completely broke down. I had expected better for the price. That was not the first issue I had with it either. I found that the attachments rusted. The finish on the metal was spoilt within a couple of uses. The machine just "mushed" everything, whatever the attachment used or food to be chopped. It overheated very quickly, and probably could have done to be much more watertight (in my house). The white attachment stand is a joke, yes? I hope so, as it was a waste of space otherwise. All in all my perception is that it was a product that I wish I had paid half the price for, then I would have felt it was a ok deal. I know I used it alot towards the (breakdown) end, (it is sold as a semi-professional product after all) but I found the performance no better than my previous (£15)cheapie, which also lasted many more years. If these things are not supposed to last longer than a couple of years then it is just as well to get the cheaper one instead, and replace, than a bamix, something I wish I had done in the first place.

I have had my Bamix for 8 years now and I use it most days as my children love pancakes for breakfast. It is great for breadcrumbs and choping parmasean cheese. Also great for yorkshire puddings so quick and easy to use and to wash up afterwards. I really can not imagine life without it. My grandmother had hers for over twenty years and I can see mine last that long too!!
