Fantastic webcam, 2009-01-06
Well i brought this webcam as gimmic for my wife,so she could have a bit of fun with her friends. We thought it was fantastic value for money and were very impressed with the quality and clarity of the video cosidering the price. The Audio side of it was very good. I would recommend this to anyone who does not want to spend a lot of money on a webcam.

I've had this webcam for about two weeks. I have been using it for skype calls, it works great, good quality, good colours, does what you would expect a webcam to do. I can't comment on the mic quality since i use a different one. The only thing that gets annoying is the automatic LED light function, it has its purpose but can also blind you. I found it necessary to take the cam apart and bypass the lights with a manual swich.
however, overall its a great product and I an recomending it to people that are looking for one.
Power surges and driver problems, but it does now work, 2008-12-03
As noted by other reviews, this is not actually a night-vision camera. Also the first camera I was sent did not work, and I was worried that it would damage my PC. Whenever I plugged it into the PC, I received a warning message saying that the device was causing power surges and requesting me to remove it. Also all my other USB devices were temporarily disabled (i.e. the USB hub in my computer was switched off). At one point I thought it had broken my computer, but all was OK on restarting.
I asked for, and swiftly received, a replacement device, and this time there was no power surge problem. However, the drivers supplied in the box did not work. I noticed from the online reviews that other users had had the same problem, so asked to seller to provide me with the correct drivers. This they did, again very quickly, and now the camera appears to work fine.
The other gripe I have is that the LEDs at the side of the webcam come on all the time it is plugged in and there doesn't seem to be any way to turn them off.
Although I now have a working webcam, I think in hindsight I should have paid a little more for something that worked first time around!

Nice little Web Cam works well on XP and Vista.. Excellent clip for laptops,Dimmer switch on lights work well,Had to Download drivers for Vista from net because they would not load from disc. But having said that it gives a very good clear picture:: Happy Chappy.

this is by far the best webcam i ever owned tho night vision is not it has 6 (Blindig but not bad when bit lower) lcd lights. As well as it looks smart it will not damage the laptop screen tho it has a tight grip which is allways a good thing. I'd reccomend this cam to anyone n everyone who wants one, tho i cant take pictures with it. all in all a good webcam works fine on vista.
