Well designed - totally painless., 2009-01-06
The product is well designed, and seems to be built to a high standard for the price.
I wanted this as a simple nose trimmer, and for this it work perfectly. I can't believe that I spent years with scissors. 5 minutes (less on subsequent trims) and no hair was left visible. Regrowth is steady and easily re-trimmed. There is NO pain and virtually no irritation.
It's also suitable for ear trimming (not tested), and also comes with two combs for different length eyebrow trimming. These snap over the cutter very securely and worked well with no tugging.
All in all a great little product!

simply the best, is the header of this review and it is 100% justified, used quite a few battery trimmers and the more expensive models as well and nothing compares to this little beaut, no pulling of hairs not pain just amazingly trims hair as soon as it impacts it, it's a "GOTTA BUY IT"

I have had two of these in the recent past,, and both of them died a very early death on me. After two or three uses - each time - they simply stopped functioning. And no, it was not the battery. So - never again, Philips! I'm going to try the Remington next.
Two week wonder?, 2008-12-06
I bought this through Amazon after reading the mostly positive reviews, and to be honest the first couple of times I used it it was fine.
Then like one of the other reviewers I went to use it and it was dead, maybe I had accidentally left it on and drained the battery?, so I changed the battery at least three times, no joy. Unlike one of your other customers I had no problem returning product for refund well after 30 days, as stated in info I contacted the supplier Planet Gizmo who contacted me next day by phone and supplied return address, and 7 days later I received a full refund credited to my Amazon account, which gives me the option of buying elsewhere.
Anyway although disappointed with the product the service from Amazon/Gizmo was good.

I've tried similar products in the past and have been unimpressed - this is easy to use and works well, with no soreness afterwards
