Plugged it in, and it lights up nicely. But that is it. No response from my mac, which didn't recognise the reader at all. No software comes with the thing to install drivers, so I'm left with a lump of plastic that's pretty much useless.

Plugs straight into Mac OS X and Windows XP and is instantly recognised without a need to download any drivers. A CD supplied if you do need one. Even better, it only absorbs power if there's a card inserted - the card completes the circuit. Perfect!
