What a fantastic device, I've had one of these units now for 2 days and though I've not explored all the features it's already impressed me. The memory storage is superb and you can record literally hours of recordings without any worry of running low on space, the unit also integrates well with your computer via a USB connection. The only reason I'm not giving this wonderful device 5 stars is I'm using this product with a mac and there was no mac software included on the bundled CD, also the Olympus site doesn't make it overly clear how you use the device with a mac, however it literally is as simple as plugging the device in via USB and all your recordings are available through the MAC OSX finder, the unit appears as a drive which you can easily access. My final small niggle is the sound is recorded as WMA, however the files are still playable on a mac using VLC or something like Flip4mac. Overall great product.
Brilliant product, 2008-11-21
I've had this digital voice recorder for over a year now and it keeps surpassing my expectations. I'm a journalist and I can't live without this any longer. The 512MB memory is more than enough to store several interviews and conferences; the sound quality is great both with the stereo mic and without it; and the battery seems to last forever - in a year of heavy use I've only needed to change the batteries twice.
I'm still to find any cons on this product!
