Recieved these earphones for £50 & thought i was getting a bargain; FAR FROM IT! The in ear design is uncomfortable and takes getting used to which shouldn't be the case, Sound quality is not what you expect, i have an Audi with a Bose system and the sound is great, earphones however are a different story, the volume is equalised so that if you are in a noisy environment the volume has to be at the highest; not what you want leading to the question why have the awkward ear design? Overall i'm not going to promote purchasing these earphones as there are plenty of other examples on the market that do a better job and give value for money. I recommend The Sennheiser CX300 they have lasted me 2 years and the quality is unbelievable (look out for fakes), may purchase CX300 again or the Shure 500, Be clever don't fall for brand reputation as these are a let down!

First off these headphones only cost £69 new from Bose themselves so don't pay over the odds from marketplace sellers for them. Now to the headphones themselves. I was a music tech student so have experienced plenty of audio products, and I've been listening to portable audio using headphones for well over a decade, and even I found these to be awesome. At first I was like "yeah I can hear the music well and everything without it being tinny, but was it worth the price tag?" Then I put up the volume a bit more and played a track with wide varying sound differences (ie bass and treble) and the bass in these things is astounding. It actually sounds like a home stereo system in your ears. Every instrument is crystal clear, and the sound range is phenomenal for in ear headphones. And I've only listened to MP3s on them which is a compressed form of audio so every sound is effectively capped at a certain level, yet to experience CD quality sound. My original doubts were blown out of the water, and these are definitely worth the price tag if you plan to listen to portable audio (mp3/cd players) a lot, or if you want to listen to music or DVDs on a computer when in a room with other people and don't want to lose the sound quality by having to put in normal headphones. They easily replicate the sound from my JBL creature speakers on my computer, and those things are pretty immense too.

These headphones are excellent. They have great sounding base and don't leak noise. I have tries many before for about £30-£40...it's worth the extra £20!!!

For many years BOSE® has been synonymous with "great sound" and, in general, if you bought a BOSE® product you wouldn't be disappointed.

Unfortunately, for me, that wasn't the case with their TriPort® in ear headphones. For the money, I was expecting these to be the last pair of headphones I'd ever had to buy - unless, of course, I damaged or lost them. No such luck!

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing fundamentally "wrong" with these headphones. But, by the same token, they're not so great as to warrant the large price tag.

As far as sound goes, I have no real cause for complaint. Although, if I'm perfectly honest, I didn't notice any great difference between these and the free-bee Sony ones I got with my walkman phone!

The biggest disappointment for me was the design. I don't know what it was but they just didn't seem compatible with my ears. They were okay if I was sitting still (although I'd have preferred it if they sat a little further in my ear). For everything else though I just got really frustrated with them. The cable seemed to have an innate ability to stick to every item of clothing I wore which, in turn, lead to an annoying "snagging" feeling. The ear piece never actually fell out my ear but it didn't inspire me with confidence either so I found myself constantly pushing them into my ear.

The plug, as numerous others have mentioned, isn't the best design either - a big bulky thing for some bizarre reason. Although it looks like they've swapped that for an angled plug in the newest version.

Other than that, they're fine, but I'd highly recommend you "try before you buy".

Oh and they also come with a lovely little case which, if you're like me, you'll stop using after the novelty has worn off because it leaves the cable nice and twisted! Plus, all that winding and un-winding gets a bit tedious especially if you use them on a daily basis.

These earphones, are brilliant, until you place them into your ear and start listening to them. the design is very good, but the 3.5mm jack is badly designed and prone to wear. The sound itself is very good, but it sounds no different to my CX300 Senhesiser earphones, that do actually block out external noise, and you can get these for a fraction of the price. I feel as if i was blinded by the brand with these earphones, and the price is completely OTT at £69, does bose think that we are all blind? Thank god that i got mine at £45.

Exception build quality on the headphone, and very good sound quality, but the products lacks the WOW factor, and in true ernest, is not worth the money, whatsoever.
