Had the same problems with my Belkin router, also Virgin Media don't like it on their system??
Very easy to install and run - took about 30 mins.
Highly recommended.

When I read the reviews here, I expected something quite good. I received the product within 2 days of ordering, which was great! I put it in, simply slotting in the item. Turned it on, installed the utility on the disc included. Simple. Tried to use it, I get near-to-no signal to my router, one just strong enough to find it, but not to connect. I fiddled around with it to no avail. Needless to say, it will be going back and I will be trying another one. I will continue to use my older one for now

As an added note, I found the Utility program included with the hardware quite useless and rather annoying to use.

Excellent wireless card - popped it in to my ubuntu linux desktop pc, booted and it worked with zero configuration.

This card was a breeze to install, but I would recommend downloading the most recent driver if you plan to use it with Vista. I am using this with a Billion wireless/3G router and there appear to be no compatability issues.

I've read a few nitpicking comments in some of the forums about the Ralink config utility, but it works well for me, and if you don't like it you can always use the Windows utility. Other reviewers have noted that the antenna is actually different to that pictured (come on Amazon, get with the program!) but the desktop extension antenna supplied is actually better than a close coupled version as you can position it for best signal strength - and signal strength in my solid brick cottage is more than ample for general surfing and the endless Microsoft updates.

All in all, great value for money, and it does what it says on the box.

I bought this card for my parents who'd recently gone onto broadband from dial-up. First of all, great service from Amazon - free delivery and arrived very quickly indeed. The card itself is very simple to install - simply plug in to a spare PCI slot and connect the antenna and you're good to go. The software installs easily and seems to work fine. After an initial issue whereby I spent a while trying to set it up with the wrong password (!!!) I reverted to the Microsoft Zero Config utility for wireless setup.
Everything worked superbly well - good signal strength (router is downstairs, the computer with this card in is upstairs) and performs brilliantly.
For a tenner, this card is a bargain and I can highly recommend it.
