 Poor sound, incompatible, but still good cosmetically talking, 2008-10-31
How anyone can rate this above 2 stars is something one can't understand. I used to have a good conception of SONY's quality, but this product really managed to change that. If you don't believe it, take a look at this:
Audio quality:
1.- Noise: Constant "hiss" coming out from the headphones since the moment you turn it on. With or without a track playing in the phone, the noise is always there.
2.- Distortion: The sound reproduced it's full of distortion, particularly in the medium high frequencies. This is even more acute when you try to find a compromise between the phone's volume and the headphone's volume. No matter how how you adjust it, all you get is distortion.
3.- Bass: Bass? What bass? The only thing coming out of this headphones it's a bunch of high frequencies piercing your head like knifes, nothing else. The sound in general is thin, almost dead.
Compatibility:
Contrary to some of the comments here, this phone wouldn't connect with new phone models. Connection with a Nokia E90 bought a year ago was successfully connected, while a brand new Nokia E71 didn't. The chance that this device will be compatible with your phone seems to be just that, a chance.
Appearance:
This seems to be the only good point of this device. The design is so light the only thing you actually feel is the sound in your ears. The controls are very good, nothing more and nothing less that you actually may need.
Unfortunately, the reason to buy one of this is not because of its sleek appearance, but because of the sound quality we expect from it. A device which cannot deliver the very essence of its purpose it's not worth the money. I personally think SONY can do better, especially when you realize that devices cheaper than this deliver a lot better sound quality.

I bought the Sony DRBT20NX some years back, throughout the time I used them they provided excellent sound quality and battery life was second to non, at this price they are a steal. My old one's had to go back to the seller due too one of the earphones dropping out. Be warned though, Sony will NOT provide warranty repair should they stuff up, they will simply refer you to the vendor for replacement or refund....
6 months use and they have died, 2008-12-22
Ever since I bought these earphones I have been using them regularly (2-3 times a week) to watch videos off my iPod (using a Sony bluetooth dongle for iPod). Pairing was extremely easy and the audio quality is superb. On a rare occasion the output volume would be unusually low but turning off both devices and waiting a few moments usually fixed this.
After about 3-4 months use I noticed the led lights had stopped working. I could still tell it was operating and charging properly so I ignored the minor problem. However after continued use the earphones now no longer work at all; they do not power up and the transmitting player does not detect the earphones.
I am very disappointed I have lost use of an otherwise excellent product. Provided this isn't a common problem I would still recommend them.

I have owned one since its first launch and I think this is an excellent specimen for people who are looking for something which is so versatile.
I use it in the gym with my Samsung MP3 player and while in the car.
Music quality is par comparison when compared with any corded but small headphones.
I will highly recommend it.

Has worked with every bluetooth device!
I use it with my phone LG Viewty and my laptop, Dell XPS 1530.
I've used it with other phones, bluetooth devices and usb dogles and always worked. Great item.
