Product Description The Syma Dragonfly is probably the most popular 2 Channel outdoor RC Helicopter here in the UK, and at such an amazing price, anyone can own one! The Syma Dragonfly RC Helicopter really is incredibly addictive, and also amazingly easy to control. Once you start, you will not be able to stop! The Dragonfly comes complete with mains charger and is ready to fly straight from the box (well, after it's been charged anyway!).

Poor quality, 2008-03-14 I was bought this helpicopter as a gift and it fell apart on its maiden flight! It was crashed into a bush which broke the tail and cockpit rendering it unusable! I don't recommend this helpicopter.... or maybe I should have been more careful? although you would expect a toy that is designed to fly and have a 90% chance of a rough landing to withstand a few knocks
Do Not Buy, 2007-12-19 If you are looking for a GENUINE SYMA Dragonfly Helicopter, then do not buy this product. We recently bught one to find that when we unwrapped it we found it first not to be a Genuine SYMA, it was a GENUINE Keguan. We found the exact same helicopter on a local sunday market. The only difference was the name on the mass produced box, which turned out to be manfactured by the same Chinese company. What you will all be able to do is purchase two of this product for the price you will for the one if you buy this one. I will be reporting this prouct to the Trading Standards and may even do a piece for the Sun newspaper. This product is not a Genuine SYMA Dragonfly Helicopter. Trades Description has been breached in this case.
broke to pieces on first attempt, 2008-02-28 Bought this helicopter for my daughter for Xmas. The charger appeared faulty, but - to give credit to the seller- we received a new charger a few days later. One of the tail wings broke off on the first landing (on soft grass), the entire tail rotor broke off on the second landing. The third landing was on the local tip. Absolute rubbish, avoid!
SYMA 606 Abraham Dragonfly, 2008-03-26 REALLY good heli for its money, hard to control but good once you get the hang of it, tail blade broke after second flight so i reccomend buying spares, the battery tends to overheat if you leave it on charge too long, this goes for the charger too and your heli could stop working for a day or two like mine but other than that its good (YOU CAN ALSO GET IT CHEAPER THAN HERE)
Great Despite the Bad Reviews, 2007-07-17 Got this chopper last week, and despite allot of bad reviews it's actually great. I've taken it out a few times, had a lot of crashes including one into a large bush of vines and several into the side of my house and still it don't have a scratch on it. My recommendation is that if your going to buy one of these make sure you use it in big open space such as a park, where you are free from obstacles such as trees. Also try and use it over soft grass that way you will be guaranteed at least a fairly soft landing. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if your flying it indoors and in your backgarden or in bad weather your asking for it to break, use it properly and it's durable enough to withstand almost anything.
I was very impressed with the height of the chopper, it went around 4 stories up, so about 100ft in the air. Although I wasn't so impressed with the battery life.
If I was to give any tips, I'd say to hover it a metre or so off the ground and practise holding it steady and turning first of all. Then when landing be sure to give it slight boost just before you land which seems to help. Also never land with the blades still spinning as it can cause it topple over, take the power off just before you mount the ground.
Pros -
. Very inexpensive for an RC chopper.
. Extreamly durable.
. Good large size.
. Quick mover - take off in a matter of seconds.
. Easy to get into the air - easy to land.
. Extreme fun!
. Impressive altitude.
Cons -
. Battery lasts only 10 minutes.
. Only two channel, therefore you can only move up and down and left and right, no forward and backwards controls. Which means that it's fun to watch it fly but not for someone who wants complete control. Let's put it this way you can only have a short flight unless you want to be walking miles to collect the chopper when it lands.
. Large size aerial piece from remote control.
