I've had this phone for nearly a year now and really all I can say is that it's a wonderful phone. It's small, slim, and stylish. The phone has a lovely silver finish that looks extremely smart. For those users who have said that the keys are too closely togather well what do you expect if you get something that's so small !!!!!
The feature of copying numbers over via sim card is very handy especially if your setting up 4 phones initally.
The phone fits perfeclty into the cradle and never have i felt at one point that will it fall out.
You can perform internal calls as well so if your feeling lazy you can call downstairs rather then walking all the way down.
The only criticism of the phone is that the speaker volume at times can be a little on the quiet side but that's about it

Average rating of 3/5Average rating of 3/5Average rating of 3/5Average rating of 3/5Average rating of 3/5 Why can't I get extra handsets to match?, 2007-12-11
We've been using our dual handset Verve for a couple of months now and it's fine. Range could be a bit better (even though we do have thick stone walls in our house, the old diverse system used to work fine as far as halfway down the garden, the Verve won't work in one room indoors) but sound quality is fine. However, the really irritating thing is that nobody seems to be able to sell us any extra handsets to match the ones we have - even BT won't sell the handsets separately. This is perhaps not surprising for a BT product - usual chocolate teapot customer service - but very annoying nonetheless. I wouldn't buy a BT phone again!

Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5 excellent, 2007-10-18
phone sounds fine, dont know why the other buyers have said that it hisses - you are supposed to keep the phone 1 metre away from other electrical equipment to prevent interferance, the phone sits nicely on the cradle it doesnt fall out it just feels loose, excellent phone all round, have had 3 phones before this and so far this is my favourite, its also very lightweight so if your always on the phone like me then thats a plus, the buttons are like a mobile phone but not as close together, i really cant understand why this phone has been rated so bad - 10/10

Poor handset design and very poor sound quality. I have missed many calls due to this phone. Small handset is very difficult to use for the average adult and is almost too slimline for comfort. Button function is not logical and overall this is not an easy product to master. Even with several months use it is still not something we have grown to master. The product selling points of colour screen and ability to copy sim cards are far far outweighed by the total lack of ergonomic design. I am reasonably proficient in most technologies but found this lacking in all areas. Poor sound quality as well. I would be embarrassed to sell this at a car boot sale.

Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5 So many faults with this phone! , 2008-07-11
On the plus side, this phone is stylish, slim, lightweight and doesn't take up much room on your surfaces. Ummmm, oh yeah, BT have brought back speed dial, yay! Ok, now for the top 5 of quite unbelievable things that don't function or have been designed by someone who quite clearly doesn't give a hoot for people who want to own a quality phone that works:

1. If you choose a ring tone over the dreadful poly tones, your phone won't ring when receiving an incoming call. Instead your handset will chirp, not unlike a heart monitor. A workaround is to set a poly ring tone, and hope no-one with taste is visiting your home when you get a call

2. You have to set the date in dd/mm/yy format but the display only shows the dd:mm, exactly the same as the time format, hh:mm. So it's hard to tell the time from the date. For example, ten past ten (am or pm) on October 10, 2008 will show as 10:10 (as the date) and 10:10 (as the time) at the extreme left and right hand side of the display.

3. The alarm feature works just the once, so you have to reset it every time you want to use it

4. Whilst on a call, the sound cuts out every few seconds so you get to hear every alternate word the other party has to say

5. The dimmer feature - best to set it to off or it dims in such a way that you think something is seriously wrong with the unit, bit like when your colours run in the wash

BT is aware of the poor reviews of this product but unfortunately the helpline will give you different advice each time you place a call. The suggested fix of unplugging everything, resetting the annoyingly fiddly battery packs and leaving it for 20 mins before setting it up again, doesn't work.
