Product Description
MoGo Mouse is the first in a family of mobile products. This technologically advanced wonder, featuring patent-pending optics, an intelligent battery management system with an integrated, minute battery that recharges in just minutes inside your laptop. MoGo Mouse is a business-card sized, Bluetooth-enabled mouse that stores and recharges neatly inside...thats right, inside...your laptop computers PC card slot when its not being used. MoGo MouseBT is a technologically advanced wonder, featuring patent-pending optics and a system that automatically levers the mouse up into your hand as you work. With no batteries to replace, the MoGo Mouse recharges in less than an hour in the PC card slot of your laptop. MoGo Mouse is specifically designed for road warriors who hate carrying around full-sized, bulky mice, but who also despise laptop trackpads and trackpoints. MoGoMouse provides them with a solution to their problem, making it easier for them to work on the road. Other mice, even those meant for road warriors, just dont cut it. Mini-mice (the walnut shells) get lost in your hand and are difficult to maneuver, and the ideas of carrying a full-sized mouse defeats the entire purpose of mobility on the go, making MoGo Mouse a natural. The MoGo Mouse is compatible with any laptop, either PC or Macintosh, which is equipped with a PC slot, Bluetooth hardware and software.

Average rating of 2/5Average rating of 2/5Average rating of 2/5Average rating of 2/5Average rating of 2/5 Great design, let down by the sensor, 2007-06-01
The mouse is amazingly small and lightweight, charges up quickly, and is really comfortable in the hand. It encourages an ergonomically-ideal posture, holding the mouse with your wrist straight instead of having the heel of your hand on the desk. There's no scrollwheel, but your other hand (at the keyboard) can use your touchpad's scroll strip.

Unfortunately all this is undermined by the sensor, which just isn't sensitive enough, so it doesn't pick up on slow movements properly. If I'm trying to select text carefully, it's simply not acceptable that the pointer hops around in five-pixel increments. My touchpad is easier to use for this sort of work, making the mouse pretty pointless. If you can't get used to touchpads, or you're stuck with one of those hateful IBM Pointing Stick things in the middle of your keyboard, you may feel differently though.

Update - Having used the mouse for a few months now, because my desktop PC is in storage and I'm using my laptop all the time, I've got to say it's a lot better than I gave it credit for. While it's not as precise as my laptop touchpad, it's a lot more comfortable for prolonged use. So it's probably worth an extra star above.

I'm a bit of a tech-lover, so when I first saw this mouse, I knew I had to have it. However, I was slightly concerned about how it would feel, the optic tracking and general use - would the Bluetooth actually sync in to my laptop.

I needn't have worried.

The MoGo mouse is possibly the most comfortable mouse I've ever used. Your wrist has to rest on the desk, making it naturally ergonomic and it weighs next to nothing, making it simply easy to use.

Charge time is really short and "battery life" is immense - I've used in the office for a full 8 hour day, charged it over my lunch, and it worked all the way through.

And it looks good - really good. In a world of cubicle dwellers tapping away on their laptops, this really looks different and individual. Plus, since it lives inside my laptop, it's always there when you need it.

1 really mild gripes - because there are no drivers, every time you plug it back in to charge, Windows tries to recognise the new hardware. This means that the pesky yellow speech bubble pops up bottom right and you'll get a "install new hardware" wizard pop up.

Otherwise, this is possibly the perfect mouse for a laptop user who travels.

It is a very sexy piece of kit that does exactly as the boffins intended.
It has become the prefered travelling mouse within my peer group.

The Mogomouse is, I believe, the perfect solution to the problem of carrying a travel mouse when on the move (which is often necessary since touchpads get uncomfortable after a while). All other mice are external and therefore need to be carried seperately, something which I try to minimise as much as I can. This takes up no extra space, weighs very little and doesn't need charging or replacement batteries. Previously I was using a small wireless mouse with a built in USB dongle that popped out. I find this much more comfortable, practical and easy to use. The Bluetooth pairing is very easy to do, and once paired it connects with a simple click of the left mouse button. Obviously, the advantages of this mouse are somewhat reduced if you need to carry a bluetooth dongle, but for users luck enough to have laptops with built in BT, this is ideal. Also, it looks fantastic!

I bought a Mogomouse recently and love it dearly already! It is basically an ultra thin mouse that lives inside your laptops PC slot, where it stores and charges. Then, when you want to use it just eject the mouse and it becomes a wireless bluetooth mouse. It's the fact that it is ALWAYS inside your laptop that's the winner, so you never have to remeber to take a cumbersome mouse with you every time you travel somewhere. Its also amazingly comfortable to use. Guaranteed to have everyone on the train asking you where they can get one!!
