I needed something to take with me on my travels and have taken item all over Europe and it has worked beautifully. Have made enquiries to the manufacturere and they were very helpful indeed.
Fully recommend the item; small, compact and has a great sound.

A week ago i bought a cyruslink linkdock from woolworths for £25 which i thought was a good deal. When i started using it the sound seemed clear and detailed but it struggled with bass and when it was turned up loud it distorted badly. But i thought for the money it was ok. After trawling the t'internet and hearing an on stage 2 in tescos i decided to get one and take the cyrus back saying the remote doesn't work which it doesn't unless your right over the dock. The on stage 2 is better in every way the sound is clear and bass is quite punchy for the size of the unit, it is well built and looks good. The power supply is slightly bigger than a DS lites but is very light, where as the cyrus has a plug, cable, heavy brick and then another cable. I am very impressed with this JBL and its only £50 in tescos and on sunday 7th the NOTW had a £5 tesco voucher in it, bonus!! 5 stars esecially for £45

I have just received this today and set it up. It takes longer to get it out of the box than to set up. The sound is very good and the remote really does work through walls. Buy it!

After using a kitchen knife, industrial scissors, a multi-tool and a box cutter I hacked through the packaging after 10 minutes and 2 finger cuts. I was still faced with cutting open the shrink wrapped remote and the numerous individually wrapped docking adapters. This trend for environmentally irresponsible and bomb-proof packaging is beyond me.

After that I was up and running in only couple of minutes - simplicity itself with only a brief scan of the simple instructions.

I was amazed. Bass was excellent despite other reviews. Some claim it isn't thumping but I'm not sure what they expect - do they want it to shake the pictures off the wall or what?

Volume range was great - it filled my spacious kitchen and living rooms easily. Volume control increments were small (I hate when one level is too quiet and the next level up is too loud).

The remote doesn't need to be any more complicated (contrary to other reviews) - next/previous, pause/ play, on/off, fast forward/rewind - more than adequate. I'm glad this product isn't over-engineered.

The AC adapter is not "REALLY" big as 2 other reviewers complained. Sure it isn't tiny nokia phone charger size but it isn't exactly heavy or huge.

Mine DID come with docking adapters (other reviews say it comes with black stickers for your existing adapters).

It has a good rubber grip on its base and has a quality feel and the mesh is sturdy - other speakers I've seen look like they will scratch with a feather and the mesh gets distorted with the touch of a finger.

I put off buying it for a year because of some of the negative comments which is a shame because it is excellent.

p.s. I see Tesco has it at £50 at the moment.

These things are the Mutts Nuts.
Sound quality is great, max volume adequate (and outstrips anything else of similar size), and remote control too.
Small and robust, great for stuffing into your snowboard bag for your bleakly furnished alpine room... I once taped mine between the fins of my surfboard and bundled it all in the bag.
At home it sits on my bedside table and my lady has the remote control so that she can turn it off once I'm snoring.
...A great piece of kit that saved my sanity on many business trips.
