Comment: 8kg of washing is alot - weigh some! Excepting very dense items this is more than you might be able to fit in even the larger drum of this machine. Coupled with the fact that the full 8kg capacity is only covered by 2hr+ washes for tough items, eg cottons, means that you might actually never use this function. However, there is lots of space for normal loads, which is great as most of the loads are of the 2kg (woollens), 3.5kg and 5kg order (even 5kg is, infact, quite a load, unless you jam the drum of any normal machine full). The instructions are a not that easy to follow (rather incoherent?), and most washes do require applying extra functions eg 'wash plus' etc, so you do need to read them. As with anything new, there is an element of trial and (actually, not very much) error. This does seem to be a sturdy and relatively quiet machine so we hope for many years of reliable washing. This will seem obvious, but the wash quality is very convincing and, more important than you might think but pretty essential, the conditioner dosing works well, so your washing comes out smelling fresh & feeling soft. Our old machine never used the conditioner reliably - we probably threw away litres over the years, and we appreciate the difference even this can make.

Just wonder - is the extra £200 or so for this "8kg" capacity machine really worth it compared to the Bosch 5kg machines? Interested to see any other reviewers' comments.
