Amazon.co.uk Reviews The argument will rage long after the boxset of The Simpsons: Season Nine has been released about when exactly America’s finest television animated export actually peaked. Some arguably, with genuine gusto, that it was a year or two before this series was first shown. Most purists though satisfy themselves that it’s the single digit seasons where the best of The Simpsons, and there’s certainly plenty of gold in this latest set. Boasting twenty five episodes in all, and backed up by the superb selection of extras we’ve come to expect from Simpsons boxsets, there are some terrific episodes to be found. The 200th episode of the show, for instance, "Trash Of The Titans" makes compelling viewing out of, literally, sanitation, while "The City Of New York vs Homer Simpson" is likewise outstanding, as Homer trots off to recover his car. Truth be told, for this reviewer’s money, The Simpsons: Season Nine isn’t the equal of the two boxsets that preceded it, and it certainly has its fair share of easily forgettable episodes. But these are still in the minority, with the bulk of this set being as representative of the great writing, humour and wry observations we’ve come to expect from The Simpsons. Cracking value for money, too.--Simon Brew

Not one of their best!, 2007-11-21 i am a BIG Simpsons fan yet i feel this series is lacking comedy. Most episodes are quite serious and boring. And although you do get the typical jokes running through each episode they dont make you laugh out loud, more of a chuckle. However if you collect the series then deep down you know you have to get it but you will feel a little disapointed!
the simpsons are back with another season, 2007-02-01 Season 8 i think is the best but 9 is pretty great too. my faves are lisa the simpson, where she thinks she got the simpson gene of becoming dumb
marge: wake up honey ive got great news.
Lisa: im adopted.
Marge: even better.
and lost our lisa which has some of my fave lines. Lisa wants to go to the museum but after bart glue novelties on his face marge takes bart to hospital leaving lisa to con homer into letting her ride the bus.
Homer: Feeling stupid i know i am.
while breaking into the museum
Homer:Can you open the window honey, the cops have daddy's prints on file.
The PIMPS & CHUDS, 2007-02-01 LEt me start by saying that the new Simpsons arent as funny as the old ones, and this series and the previous two have really high lighted this to me.
Anyway, I have only watched half of this DVD so far but from what i have seen this is hilarious.
The best episode has to the episode in New York, and thankfully this episode has not been cut. Season 9 introduces some new characters to the programme such as Gil & Manjula, and expands on some previous character like Ralph Wiggum.
Overall if your a fan of the simspsons this is the set for you, it also includes a sneak peek at the upcoming movie. Enjoy.
Simpsons Season 9, 2007-09-16 This season is interesting because to me it seemed to change into a more "sitcomy" style as if there were meant to be a laugh track on it. However that's a minor thought, there are so many great episodes in this season and also some under-rated episodes and also some not quite up to standard episodes (Kind of like every other season) here are my favourites from this season:
1. The Cartridge Family
2. The Last Temptation Of Krust
3. Girly Edition
4. Trash Of The Titans
5. Bart Carny
6. Bart Star
7. Dumbell Indemnity
8. The Joy Of Sect
9. Lost Our Lisa
10. Miracle On Evergreen Terrace
Even though this season is great I must say "Principle And The Pauper" is one of the stupidest episodes of the Simpsons' history. If you listen to the commentery you'll hear Ken Keeler (the writer) saying that this is the best episode of television he ever wrote, after hearing that I insist you watch any Futurama episode he's written eg. Godfellas (season 3) and see if you agree with him
its so funny I love IT!!!!! , 2008-06-18 this a great box set any simpsons fan it has all the episodes from season 9 the only thing I don't like is the bonus stuff is boring put its still a great box set.
