Well, look no further, for a truly illuminating answer is at hand. Lightcast is a kaleidoscopic box of tricks that makes the disco lights one is used to seem, well, frankly Dickensian by comparison. (Although what Dickens would have made of a community centre teen disco, one dreads to think). Anyway, there's magic at the heart of Lightcast, a compact box capable of delivering a fully interactive music-synchronised light show that simply puts all others to shame. The real trick to its amazing powers lies in the cluster of 33 colour LEDs beneath the centre of a full-blown projection lens and mirror combo, while trademarked 'Smartbeat' technology synchs with any music source you choose to input - from Wagner to Westlife, whoever they are. If you're not satisfied with the lightshow above your head, you can select one of four different display moods to shape the look and feel of your party vibe. The rest, then, is up to you. Comment: The Lightcast toy is brilliant BUT it will not work with all sound systems. The Lightcast must have a music feed input from the sound system so it will always work okay if you are using earphones to listen to your sounds. But, many sound systems auto disable sound output from speakers if you plug in earphones etc so the output to Lightcast disables the sound.
