Roy Storey...Student Kickboxer., 2008-02-04 I found both DVD's to be a great point of reference, Pat's no nonsence approach and concice instruction was great for veiwing and puting into practice in bitesized chunks.
It was great to see the defensive techniques being put into practice in the second DVD. The more you watched you could see the parts of the jigsaw fall into place piece by piece, making a much more rounded fighter.
Great stuff.. can't wait fot the third DVD.!
Kickboxing at its best!, 2006-08-03 I really liked this DVD having read some of Pat's books. It is well-paced and the instruction is extremely clear. It is a great intoduction to learning to kickbox - the best thing is that Mr O' Keeffe gives you an understanding of why you are doing the things you are being taught to do - Greats stuff.
A great DVD to get achieve good technique, 2007-06-30 I've been learning Kickboxing for about 4 months, and i also own Pat's book "Kickboxing: a framework for success" and this DVD is a perfect compliment to the book as well as being a valuable tool on its own. It demonstrates techniques slowly then shows how they might be used in a situation using focus pads for accuracy, and opponents for more realism. The techniques demonstrated are: stance, different guards, jab, cross, hook, uppercut, shovel hook, bolo, spinning backfist, front kick, roundhouse kick, side kick, backthrust kick (aka spinning back kick) and the spinning heel kick. I'm just about to buy his next DVD... happy learning and good luck!
Clear presentation, 2006-09-28 The main strength of Pat's DVD is the fact that his presentation is so clear. That combined the simple and direct ideas that you are given to work with makes this a top quality product - I would recomend it to anyone interested in this art.
