Original keyboard and mouse replaced because of recurrent problems with various keys not working. 2nd keyboard has key's jumping out of their housing and receiver really temperamental. Letter stickers wearing off all over the place!

If you like your mouse pointer to have an independent spirit with a mind of it's own, merrily doing it's own thing dashing about the screen wildly, whilst the keyboard pretty much writes it's own story and ignoring all your wishes then this is the keyboard for you. Needless to say this has been typed with the old wired keyboard plugged back in......

I needed a wireless mouse and keyboard and this was a very good deal considering the price. As it uses your computer's PS/2 ports there is no need for the supplied software unless you want to customize the keys.

The keyboard is about right in terms of how it is to touch and the mouse is a breeze to use. The instruction manual tells the user how to connect the keyboard and mouse wirelessly yet it does it automatically.

Only one thing I don't like about the keyboard is that for some strange reason the caps and num lock lights are on the receiver but not on the actual keyboard.

Other than that this is well worth buying as it comes with everything you need including batteries.

Opened this just now, straight out of the box, plugged the wires in and it connected to both the keybooard and mouse in seconds, works perfectly without even using the disc, which is only needed if you want to change the shortcut keys. All in all very good value, not usb, but that might be a plus point if you're short of them!! Recommened!

I'm sure this is a good product, I've had good experience with Labtec in the past. The units do look sleek and easy to use, and I'm sure if you've got a desktop it will provide a good replacement for your current wired keyboard and mouse (for that price anyway).

BUT, I've just received this product from Amazon, and realised that the wireless receiver plugs into the computer by PS/2 connections. I had planned to connect my laptop to my HD telly and use the wireless desktop, but since my laptop (and most) only supports USB connections, its pretty useless to me.

If, like me, you don't have PS/2 connections, try a different keyboard, such as this almost identical one: (I wish I had)

Just to reiterate some of the points others have made about the Labtec desktop. The keyboard is very good, exactly what I wanted. powered by two AAA batteries (included) it connects to the system easily and effectively.
But what is wrong with the mouse? It seemed to work erratically at first (two AA batteries here) but, just as with another reviewer, it stopped left clicking, (then right clicking) after two days (why two days? is it always two days? spooky!), and connection could not be resumed.
I'm back to my older wired logitech mouse (which I was not so keen to replace anyway), but I'm left a bit concerned as to if and when the keyboard goes the same way. For the price the keyboard alone - if it keeps working - seems worth the bother. The only trouble is, at the moment, that seems a big "if".
