Buttons to program so small and do not seem to register. Have to make several attempts. Took about half an hour to set the time and date and when buttons do not register have to go back and start over. Got so infuriated with silly programming buttons that did not work that I hurled the clock against the wall and smashed it to bits!
OK I do not get refund - but the satisfaction of smashing this clock to bits was worth every penny

this alarm clock was bought for my sons, one each, one was faulty and had to be sent back and the other was so fiddly to set, it took ages and buttons are tiny. the alarm sound is so quiet my son slept through it so not much use as an alarm clock! the lights are fun as a gadget, but who sees them when sleeping anyway!? total waste of money. be warned.

Having seen it on play.com, i thought my teenager would love a light up clock (as much as a teeneage would like any alarm clock!) and ordered it for christmas.

When she opened it , it looked cheap, however, we though when lit it would be different. It was a bit better. However, it was disappointing to find the colours go off after 30 seconds, unless you use a mains adaptor, rather than batteries. You have to tap it, to light it up again.

It didnt say this in the advert, and the adaptor is not included, meaning more expense.

Wouldnt recommend it, it looks cheap, and just like a plastic grey box unless lit.

I have no choice now but to buy an adaptor to get best use out of it. Given I didnt want something in the mains, it rather defeats the whole object. The alternative is to chuck it out.

It sadly is nowhere near as nice as it looked in the picture.

Average rating of 2/5Average rating of 2/5Average rating of 2/5Average rating of 2/5Average rating of 2/5 Disappointing, 2008-11-10
Initially this clock seemed like a great little gadget, I liked having the date as well as time settings and the colour changing lights were really impressive. However....the alarm is not only fiddly to programme but so quiet that you may as well not bother; the snooze function on mine didn't work either.

I decided to go back to my old alarm and just use the Aurora to tell the time but even that didn't work as the clock runs fast; I have had it for about 10 months and the time is 15 mintues off.

The alarm is far too quiet - think old Casio watch 'beep beep' sound and level. All well and good having lights, but needs to cover the basics!
