this album, along with gaz's rockin' blues 'club classics' are by far the best jamaican ska albums around, they both feature very rare ska taken from gaz's famous record collection.

This welcome selection of rare ska tracks gets off to a terrific start with 5 steaming instrumentals and great vocals on You send me and Soldering. The quality then disminishes slightly (only one instrumental (The teaser) and hits a low with 3 weak vocal tracks 14, 15 and 16. The Silvertones, Maytals and Justin Hinds tracks pick up the quality again but Bongo Man Byfield's closing track (he cannot really sing) is an acquired taste to say the least.
