This is one of Harrison Ford's most moving performances and is a great example of what a good and diverse actor he can be. He plays Henry, a tough, hot shot lawyer. After being attacked and shot in the head, Henry struggles to rebuild his life and his memory and heas to face some hard truths about the type of man he was before his attack.

Harrison is excellent in his role as Henry and gives a very moving performance. A heart warming film.

Harrison Ford plays a high powered lawyer, ruthless and power hungry in his career and home life.

His family, wife and daughter, are distractions and very much second place to his career.

One night as he buys cigarettes he is shot in the head by an armed robber and although he survives, he receives damage to his brain which leaves him with the mind of a young boy. In this touching film, his family bring teach him to live as normal a life as possible.

This story concerns one of my fellow sharks at the New York Bar, one who, unlike me, actually practised there and made money. He, Henry, wins at all costs, until a convenience store robber shoots him and regresses him to early childhood. His life thereafter is the subject of this film, which might have been either boring or schmaltzy, but isn't. Good and worth seeing.

Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5Average rating of 1/5 Ridiculous portrayal of brain injury, 2010-02-09
Basic plot: cut-throat lawyer gets shot in the head and the chest. Bullet lodged in his frontal lobes seems to have caused little damage, but bullet in chest caused cardiac arrest and anoxic brain injury. As a result, he turns into a really nice bloke, develops a conscience and becomes a devoted family man. This is one of the most ridiculous depictions of brain injury that I have ever seen. His main cognitive deficit seems to be a severe retrograde amnesia (recall of information from before the injury), with virtually no anterograde amnesia (ability to learn new information), and his personality has changed for the better. Absolutely nothing about this film is believable. No wonder it is virtually forgotten now.

If you have any direct or indirect experience of brain injury, do not watch this film as it will only annoy you.
