good sound quality, but still gash, 2008-09-23 Sony have made these with longevity and sound quality in mind, as i have had mine for a year and they are still going strong. But they are starting to really get on my nerves. The first flaw is the length, on their own they are too short, unless you are about 5 and have an incredibly small torso, or if you don't mind holding your mp3 player everywhere you go, looking like a proud schmuck. So Sony added an extension cable to it, making it unbearably long. Ahh but what's wrong with long wires? These wires coil and knot with great ease, making a wire penis hang out of your pocket, don't act like you don't understand. So yeah, small torso or don't mind wire nobs? go for it.
good sound, poor quality, 2008-10-27 i'm gonna be short here. they sound good and are very comfortable, no ear ache after hours of listening. yes they transmit some noise if the wire is tapped or wind........BUT the biggest problem was the poor quality of the rubber that coats the wire, its just too soft and after a 1 yrs use, the section of wire that sits round your neck has started to fray and disintegrate, meaning you can see the red copper wiring.
If i could i would have given it 2.5 stars.
Used for several years now - Unbeatable!, 2008-09-13 First set of these I bought was around £30. At this price they are a steal. Great sound (especially bass) and they even stay in my ears (unlike most normal ipod style ones).
Yes I have had the problem where they go off in one ear after around 9 months, but Amazon sent me a free replacement pair without any problem and these have been fine for a couple of years now.
My family all use them now and all swear by them (3 sizes of rubber pads means they fit kids to adults).
Top quality headhones in a tiny and comfortabel package., 2008-09-13 These Sony's really are top notch for the £25 I paid for them. I have a pair of Bang & Olufsen Form 2s as well and sumtimes I really do find it hard to tell the difference in terms of sound reproduction and the bass that both headphones offer and the B&Os are twice the price!
The only minor niggles I have with these are that the cord is too long and that not one of the sizes of earbud supplied completely fits my ear, hence I still get a small amount of ambient noise coming through.
I am considering upgrading though to a pair of seinheisser cx 500s..wondering whether there would be any difference?
Overall, top value, top quality on the go headphones.
Cable too long, 2008-11-16 Didn't like these. The cable is way too long. Eventually sold em to a friend.
