OHMIGODDESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, 1999-11-28 This book is awsome. I had always enjoyd writing before I read this but now I love to write. This book enspired me like nothing else. It kept me guessing all the way through, and even at the end I was still guessing. Read it or else!
One of the best!, 2006-08-01 This is Pike on 5* form - it's all there for fans of his work - the dry, sardonic humour, the quirky characters and the gripping twisting plot! For anyone new Pike is THE author to look out for - every book is a page turner and every one will leave you wanting more! Brilliant.
A legendary novel, 2004-05-23 This book is one of the greatest I have read, for many reasons. The plot is amazing as the main character ends up mixing his amazing writing talents with reality. It is an amazing read, the description is good but not over-indulging, and the characters are believable and have their own personalities. It is a bit on the extreme side towards the end, but the psychological breakdown of this genius writer is fantastically portrayed. The beginning is not intimidating and the reader is slowly drawn into the story- Dreamcatcher by King is much harder to start and a lot longer-winded. Overall, the defintion of a thriller.
Another Pike classic, 2006-05-05 I love this book. I grew up with Pike's teen series, and this one has inspired me the most. Proof- it has shown me the love of bikes, and I'm on my fifth bike, and riding is my meditation.
Back to the book, the characters are easy to relate to, and it is an involving book which you will find hard to put down once you start. My partner says its trash, and she's wrong on this one.
