Comment: I found this book very useful to acquire the basics of Spanish in a short time. The book is well organised and structured and provides vocabulary for every-day use.
It does, however,lack the small text passages that you usually find in that kind of course, which I would have found nice to get used to reading and see more examples of Spanish syntax. Also there are words and phrases used, but not part of the vocabulary list, so you need to lok those up yourself.
I can definately recommend this book to use in a taught course, you can use it by itself, but should be willing to look up words and possibly get some simple Spanish texts to practice reading with.
