Comment: I've previously purchased Ken Henderson's excellent Guru's Guide series, and this book continues in the same vein.. ..this isn't a general guide to sql, it's also not really for beginners, however it does provide answers to some sticky questions and potentially could be a godsend to any dba as a quick reference in those situations, but it's not solely a troubleshooting guide and the real value in this book is in the level of detail provided. For anyone who really wants to understand the inner workings of the product, this book is a must. The book is a multi-author effort, with each author writing a specific chapter. The authors are from the Microsoft Dev Team and CSS Team and they really do provide a definitive guide to troubleshooting SQL 2005. I've already read two excellent chapters on Waiting & Blocking Issues, and Memory Issues and look forward to reading the rest. Very much recommended.
