Comment: I purchased this book after switching from Windows XP to Mac OS X. After getting to grips with iLife applications in general, I felt I needed a more detailed book to discover all the hidden possibilities available with iMovie and iDVD. As one of the main reasons for purchasing a Mac was to edit video I wthough I would give this book a try.

This is an excellent book with clear concise instructions and pictures to help you make the best of the discussed applications. The only reason I did not give this a 5 star is a discrepancy with one paragraph, regarding importing video from a non-controllable analogue devices by using a Digital Camcorder. He states that it is possible in the book, which is great but he does not tell you how? Cause I have tried it and you can't do it!! If someone knows how then please let me know?

That small problem aside, I believe I have learned a lot from this book on how iMovie really functions and how to create very swish DVD menu's with transitions etc. Very good indeed! I completely recommmend this book. Even if you thought you knew iMovie or iDVD and are new to these applications it is well worth the read.
