In the early eighties the cry from the press and then parliament was "ban these sick films!"So the video nastie was born and off course the forbidden fruit was created.From that moment on it was the aim of every horror movie fan to get his hands on the wicked 100.After years off tracking some of these films down,time as well as a great deal of money has been wasted on some really poor amateurish trash.If only I had hold of John McCarty's informative and entertaining book all those years back.So,it could have been more glossy,perhaps a few more photos,some in colour to really get the message home!But these are small irratations,what this book does especially well is seperate the dross from the gross it tells you in no uncertain terms whats worth the risk of custom seizure and what ain't worth a postage stamp.If you love your horror movies to be upfront this is the book to have in your pocket next time you visit the videostore!
