Comment: I should state right at the beginning, that this wasn't the book I was looking for. If you already know how to design lighting set-ups, & are looking to move into larger theatres, this book should be fine. Most of the book is involved with the paperwork involved in staging a large production, with minimal mentions of the 'how-to' side of lighting design. If, however, you are looking for something to introduce you to the art of stage lighting design & are involved in the smaller, amateur side of stage lighting (as I am myself), look somewhere else. I should add that the book is american, & as such, the UK reader will find a lot of the terminology used will be different to what is used in UK theatres.
