Great start for Kids, 2010-01-30
Its nice to buy something that actually does what is says on the packet! It saws, drills and sands a nice introduction to woodwork. My 8 year old loves it and my 12 year old is also getting a kit so that he can have a go too. Makes a Great break from computer games. Really good for cognitive skills and creativity. Lets hope they keep it up.

Best Set Of Plastic Figures Ever, 2009-07-22
I don't know WHAT is wrong with the other reviewer - the item title clearly states 1/72 scale so giving a poor review because you cannot read is an eccentric use of Amazon's rating system to say the least.

Despite their age these are some of the best plastic figures ever made and one of Airfix's triumphs - excellent, crisp detail and lifelike poses. As far as toy soldiers go these are among the very best.

Where's the base gone?, 2010-04-02
This was a kit I loved as a kid back in the 70s so when my son and I spotted a reissue of it in a model shop last week, I bought it on the spot. However, when I opened it at home I discovered to my dismay that the vacuum-formed base of the kit, which was excellent and an integral part of the kit (and depicted on the box artwork) is no longer included with the model. I can make my own base but can't help feeling a bit ripped off. I emailed airfix to complain but no reply as yet.
