good fun to build, 2010-01-15
hi my 7 year old son had this for christmas and loves it. He needed a bit of help to build it but it has good instructions and it it was interesting putting the gears together and getting the motor going. Once it was built DS likes to put his lego figures in the seats and watch them riding around. He know wants the rest of the fairground to go with it!

Good toy for all aspiring engineers, 2010-01-13
I bought this for my 8 year old son for Christmas. He really enjoyed playing with it and stuck with the construction all day until it was completed. The kit makes two 'designs' although they are pretty similar. It's a shame that it's so expensive for a few plastic sticks and cogs but so is Lego!

I bought this as a Christmas present for my 7 year old grandaughter, who appeared delighted with it. She needed adult help to make it up,which took about 2 -3 hours. The finnished product was excellent and was played with by adults as well as my grandaughter. Would recommend.

K'nex Kid Knex Lots Of Pals (85335)

Great Construction and Imagination Toy For Your Little One, 2008-09-29
We bought this set and the Playground Pals one together for our son's recent 3rd birthday. He has always been into things like Lego Duplos and toy construction equipment so we thought he might like these as well. Turns out HE ABSOLUTELY LOVES THEM! This was his favourite gift for his birthday, loved even more than a Leapfrog Leapster and a first Meccano set (though he likes those a lot as well). While Mommy and Daddy have made a few of the included suggested creatures, our son has just let his imagination run wild and come up with such gems as: The Hand Machine, which gives you extra hands so you can get more done and The Footocopter, a helicopter that operates from foot power. If your child is really into imaginative play, construction, and creative design, these are a superb buy! The only downside is that if your little one gets too carried away during disconnecting pieces small amounts of the plastic may fracture, though only if excessive force is used.

Interesting to build, 2009-11-02
Our son, 11, is quite into construction toys (mainly Lego), and he had consigned his existing K'NEX kit to the charity pile. However, he is into rollercoasters and whilst we were in Germany, we visited a great toy shop in Soest and bought this.
It's quite challenging to put it all together, and you have to get the track in the right position. We also found that the connectors attaching the track to the structure were not that good in trems of a firm 'clip in', and we had to make several adjustments to ensure the car ran smoothly on the track. The first hill chain lift is great - just like the real thing! Also, the K'NEX in this kit is smaller than the standard K'NEX - not sure if it's actually classed as 'Micro K'NEX' or not - but the ability to interface my son's existing kit would have been useful (I believe you can get connectors that join the two).
All in all, good value for money, but you need to perseverea bit with the track.

Great for imagination, fine motor skills and speech. I love this it opens so many doors for my children and all ages can enjoy it. This was bought for me to add to my sons kidknex collect and he uses it very well. Excellent buy.

We bought this for my son, 10. He absolutely loves it and built it within a few hours of receiving the package. It is great fun to assemble and good for the mind too, giving practice at following instructions and construction techniques.

Thoroughly recommended for any child over 8 or 9 (or grown up!), I'd far rather my kids were playing with good toys like this than watching mindless or violent computer games.
