Great toy for two year olds, 2009-03-17 My two year old just loves this toy and all her little friends that have come round have also played with it alot. The beads are chunky and easy for little hands to put in and pull out. You can make pretty patterns using the templates too. Definately a good buy.

Great Starter Set, 2009-04-16 This is a really good introduction to Quercetti Gears. The pieces are really easy to put together (my 2 year old manages to assemble this with help) and there are lots of variations you can make. The only negative I would say is that the pegs that slide the animal and tree pieces into the holes are easily bent and could be broken with time.

Marble Run Fun, 2009-05-16 We bought this toy for our 3 year old daughter and she loves it. So does her little sister. They play with it a lot when they can wrestle it away from their Dad! The pieces are bright and easy enough for the little one to put together although she often needs help pulling them apart. It is great because both of the girls can play with it at their own level and as they get older they will be able to make more complex structures, but it does help to teach them to follow the process and to work out the way that the marble will run in advance.

CREDIT WHERE CREDIT'S DUE!, 2008-08-02 My daughter bought her son (my grandson) a Saxoflute for his 2nd birthday.
That was 18 months ago and not a day has gone by without it coming out of the toy box. He loves it and watching him play with it is amazing - he uses it to make all sorts of things! I credit this toy with helping him develop in so many ways - hand eye co-ordination, imagination, improvisation, attention span, colour recognition etc.
Credit to Quercetti for making a fun, durable toy that's as cheap as chips and credit to my daughter for buying it!

This set includes an automatic elevator. The elevator can be assembled to any height so it is adaptable to any structure that the young engineer wants to build. 5 Years +
Bit flimsy, 2009-05-23 My little boy was and is thrilled with this toy and Marble Runs are clearly his thing. However, the pieces can be a bit tricky to push together and I have had to remove it from the playroom altogether when a friend was round as my son realises you have to be quite careful with it but it nearly got trashed a few times by his friend who couldn't seem to understand you can't lean on it even a little bit while playing. I chose this one because it was so much more colourful than the wooden options but I think they would have been a lot more stable. Still a fun toy but a bit flimsy and impossible to a young child to put together on their own - I felt I needed another arm to support it while I put the rest together, so help will be needed from an adult for younger children.

Have Grandad, the retired mechanic, on standby, 2009-03-19 My son Ben (6) says: it's fun and exciting. It's hard because if there's a bigger gear in front of a smaller gear on the plan it's hard to count how many tines the gear should have and if there is eight you can get confused if there is ten.'
You get the picture. Your budding Brunel has to like reading plans - and you had better have Grandad, the retired mechanic, on standby if he gets stuck. Ben fixed the star rating. It's great, but definitely for a left-brained plan-fixated Richard-Hammond-loving six year old control freak with too many engineers in the family.

"Skyrail Rollercoaster 9 from Quercetti - 150 pieces 150 pieces enable the building of numerous variations of the roller coaster tracks, including loop the loops. Over 8 metres long and glows in the dark ! age 6+"
Just plain brilliant!, 2006-01-08 We bought this for my 6yr old at Christmas - and will be adding another set for his birthday later this month. It is just an incredible toy. Over Christmas his Grandfather and father were as gripped as he was making the loop-the-loop work, then figuring how to get it into the bend and stay on the rials. He's kept busy for hours inventing new tracks, working out which bits aren't working and why, how to make the marbles run faster/slower etc. He has no idea he's working with Physics principles! And then, to beat it all, he can go to bed and look at his track glowing in the dark in his room. Can't recommend it enough.

Great!, 2009-08-19 My 2 1/2 year old son is totally in love with this! He puts the pieces on the right color while he says the colors name, and the fact that we can change the background pattern gives tons of fun and varation. This is absolutely something I will purchase as gifts. Still I will not recommend that its given to toddlers who still puts everything in their mouth.
