My little boy loves this!, 2010-01-08
My little boy (2 1/2) loves this toy and plays with it all the time, especially the car and helicopter which both come to pieces. The only negative feedback is once you throw the box away you have no reference for how the stage should look when built and it could do with something to keep all the bits in. Maybe I should have kept the box for storage box and this would have solved both problems... Anyway neither of these things bother my son, he builds the stage all different ways.

I bought this model for my fiance who is a massive F1 fan. He loved it! We have started building it together and found it alot of fun. There are alot of pieces and the instructional pictures do look a bit daunting if you have never done anything like this before, but on the whole they are very good. There are alot of small pieces so certainly would not reccomened this for anyone under 8 as the box states. It has quite a high difficulty rating on the box, but i would think most kids would find it an ejoyable challenge. A great activity for boys and their Dad's or Mum's - espescially if they are keen F1 fans. Also, the toy comes in a lovely presentation tin. I wouldn't say that this is a toy that is designed to be played with - more to work on and be admired as an achievement of the youngster that has built it, but a great model kit non-the-less.

We had the winnie the pooh mega blok train given as a first birthday present. The set is still being used over 2 years later and only seems to become more of a favourite over time. The movement and tunes played are first enjoyed by the younger child. Then simple linking of carriages and changing the 'driver' interest the child. Later, building the shops and imaginative play mean this toy is a real winner.
Additionally it has been dropped several times on hard floors and appears unharmed. I am just about to buy this set for my nephew.
