Brainstorm
Experience the lunar phases and learn about the moon with the Moon In My Room display.
By the light of the Moon, 2008-06-06 Bought this for my 7/8 year old who is mad about space and astronomy, we all think it's absolutely magical. It's very realistic, gives off just the right amount of light and is suitable to play with or just to leave on to go to sleep to. I can think of a few other kids who will be getting these for presents. Just GREAT!

Brilliant toy, fantastic quality., 2008-11-25 When this arrived, I had a good feeling about it from just looking at the box. Well packaged, littered with statements about various awards it has won, and the actual microscope looked solid, well build and begging to be taken out of the box!
It was incredibly easy to set up and took no time at all to start viewing all sorts of various things. The 3 different zoom functions are a real bonus -especially when the fixed zoom EYeclops is retailing for over £50!
My children were totally captivated by looking at the detail in a feather and soon were running all over the house finding different things to "look" at.
It also has a few unexpected uses too! My brother inlaw lost a contact lens on the carpet - Eyeclops found it much faster than we might have done. It has also been very useful in making my children have a little less fear and a bit more respect for creepy crawlies. After viewing them close up, they have been really interested in seeing all their little legs, feelers etc. and has made them seem exciting rather than scary. It really is fascinating to watch how my children respond to seeing so many everyday objects in totally new ways.
I had wondered if this would be a half hour wonder. After owning it for a couple of weeks, we are all still amazed at it and I have a feeling it could be responsible for our youngest wanting a career in biology!

- Build a gear driven car and a fan propelled car
- Make a fan propelled boat
- Find out how to control the speed and direction of an electric motor
- Find out about different types of switches
- Experiment with sensors
Cars & Boats - Excellent buy, 2008-09-28 My 7 year old son bought this with his birthday money, and it has been a great hit. The ease with which he can build, and experiment with, simple circuits - using the snap fastener links - is superb. Some of the activities are still a bit advanced for him, but I am confident that the durability of the set will ensure it is still in play when he is ready for the next stages.

Create 40+ click-together experiments with magnets and steel balls using the Electro Mag Kit.
Magnets not being recalled?, 2007-09-26 With the recall of magnets in toys for safety reasons (if swallowed, they pinch together the gut and can cause death) being headline news, it's nice to see that some companies flaunt the "nanny state" attitude and go ahead anyway.
This toy is great fun, and safe if you follow the instructions. The science principles explored are sound, even if they're not explained in depth. One drawback is that the balls and magnet pieces are easy to lose around the house.

Amazing Dino Eggs! Take the wrapper off, put into warm water and see it bubble and fizz! All that will be left is a dinosaur! Over 28 different designs to collect. 4 Years +
FIZZING FUN, 2007-05-01 These fizzy eggs are great fun for any child that's into Dinosaurs and are priced at a level that is affordable. We use them as rewards for our 7-year-old son. Just make sure you get all the bits together before you empty the bowl or pull the plug as the pieces are quite small and easily lost down the drain....that dinosaur ended up in the Dinosaur hospital !
