"AWESOME", 2008-11-28 Just had to purchase this, I already have the original but as this came along with new songs on, I thought - "GO FOR IT"! Boy, weren`t it worth it! Awesome stuff. Duffy is the best singer of 2008 no doubt about it.

Duffy ROCKS 100%!!!, 2008-08-16 Super new single from Duffy, I don`t know how she does it but she seems to always come up with such brilliant songs. Looking at the front cover of this CD single, she appears pleasant enough, better than that really, really scary front cover of the Adele CD single, you felt you just couldn`t hang around for long with that scary face staring at you but with Duffy it is a different story, she looks lovely and her voice is lovely too, she is the best!

The Duran Duran Reject Done Good, 2003-10-02 I get the distinct impression that old Tin-Tin is a bit of a prat but that doesn't stop this being one of the best album's I've ever bought. The melodies aren't at all bad- come to think of it. I bought it as a whim and wasn't disappointed. Unfortunately, although the talent is definitely there, he can't be called a great because the body of work just doesn't seem to be there or the consistency for you to be elevated to the next level. Having said this, as a one off little gem it shines with the best of them

Rockferry, the Welsh singer's lovingly constructed debut album, has already succeeded beyond expectations, and although Duffy may not quite be the ingénue portrayed by a clever press campaign (she nearly won a local television talent show a few years back while a single credited to Aimee Duffy is still available on iTunes) she is surely the most appealing of the current flood of young soul sirens. The astonishing title track, co-written by Bernard Butler, sounded like a lost transmission that had taken decades to get through as soon as it hit radio last year. But the gently rolling soul ballad "Stepping Stone", that strapping, inescapable monster hit "Mercy", the ice cool "Serious" (the one time she really does channel the spirit of Dusty Springfield) and the wistful, elegant "Warwick Avenue" are similarly effective. Suggestions by some that Rockferry is little more than sixties pastiche are churlish. Butler's previous work with David McAlmont (featured here as a backing singer) showed his skill at writing and arranging the dramatic, while her other collaborators such as Steve Booker and the team of Jimmy Hogarth and Eg White are hardly lightweights. But despite some wonderful orchestral settings, it's Duffy's terrific voice that makes this so satisfying, even overpowering Butler's exquisitely underplayed guitar work on "Rockferry" itself. Growling the blues on "Syrup & Honey" or belting it out over his lovingly arranged wall of sound on "Distant Dreamer", she sets the tone throughout, several of her songs dealing with escape, both physical and romantic. The sound of someone singing herself to stardom, Rockferry is at times genuinely amazing. Steve Jelbert
Simply stunning, 2008-11-01 I bought this album as a chance puchase based upon a magazine article that I had read about her. I was unaware of the hype and as they don't play very many of her songs on Classic FM and Radio 4, was also unaware of her music!! The melodies are soulful and her voice mature beyond her years. I just love this album: sad but uplifting - how's that for an oxymoron. Yes it took me back to my childhood in the 60s. I would love for her to cover "Ferry 'cross the Mersey". Comparisons to other artists such as Dusty Springfield are understandable but unfair. To me she sounds like ... well Duffy

Masterpiece, 2008-06-01 Another good song by Duffy. She puts so much emotion into Warwick Avenue, Duffy has an incredible voice which just blends in so well. I can`t work out why anyone dislikes her voice, she is brilliant. So sad to see her upset in the video :(

She`s back!, 2008-10-31 Duffy is back with yet another really good song, also featured on the deluxe edition of her Rockferry album which is out 24/11. It`s amazing how she comes up with so many awesome tunes we will never ever get fed up with as they are so good, Duffy`s music is 100% quality. Music at the moment wouldn`t be anything without this Welsh sweetie about!

Duffy is awesome, really glad she is doing so well!, 2008-02-28 Barcode: 0602517617940
So, Mercy has already been number 1 for two weeks just on downloads and this physical release looks set to boost its success even further. Duffy looks gorgeous on the cover and the song itself is pure brilliance, a departure from the ballad Rockferry, Mercy is an uptempo gem of a track. Based around a 'Stand By Me' esque beat and an ace organ riff, like Rockferry, this is the perfect blend of the old and new - and Duffy delivers it perfectly, proof of her ingenuity and talent as an artist.
That chorus of 'You got me beggin' for mercy' is just so catchy and the 'yeah, yeah, yeah' parts are dead cute - the song's got everything and as if you didn't need anymore persuading, it's a perfect taster for an album which looks set to be one of the biggest sellers of the year.
Tomorrow is yet another brilliant b-side from Duffy, another slice of retro perfection, all 60s guitars and strings. I love it!
